Garner Food Company and Peach Bowl, Inc. (collectively, the "Sponsors"), and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and/or Sponsors, which are binding and final on matters relating to this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
The sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. ("ET") on July 25, 2011 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on August 14, 2011 ("Sweepstakes Period"). To enter, visit www.kickoffcookoff.com and complete all of the required information and follow all instructions to submit the official entry form. Limit 1 entry per person/email address. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 15 to be eligible. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void. All entries become the property of Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned.
To Enter Contest: To enter the contest, complete the official registration form at www.kickoffcookoff.com, and submit a full recipe for a tailgating entrée that can be prepared on a gas or charcoal grill. Also submit a written description of 50 words or less of your recipe or your perfect tailgate party. All entries must be original creations and cannot have been previously published or entered in any other competition.
Winners Selection: On or about 8/17/11 the judges will select six winning finalist Cook-off Contestants from all valid entries received. Entries will be judged on ingredients, creativity and originality of the recipe, and creativity of the written description. Judging will be done by a panel of independent judges whose decisions will be final and binding on all matters relating to this portion of the Contest. The six finalists will be notified by telephone. Finalist Cook-off Contestants will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Agreement to Attend, a Liability Release, and, where legal, a Publicity Release, within 3 days of receipt of notification and documents. If a finalist does not return documents timely, or if documents are returned as non-deliverable, or if a finalist is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, then their participation will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate finalist.
Cook-off Contest: Each of the six winning finalist Cook-off Contestants must be willing to participate in a Cook-off Contest of tailgate recipes on Saturday, 9/4/10 to be held in front of the Georgia World Congress Center at the 2010 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta. If a selected winning finalist Cook-off Contestant is not able to participate in the Cook-off Contest, an alternate winning finalist Cook-off Contestant will be selected. Contestants will prepare only one entree, which must be the same recipe that was submitted to be selected as a finalist, and can be prepared in a 2 ½ hour window. Marinades may be completed prior to the event; however, actual preparation and cooking must not begin prior to start of Cook-off Contest. Each finalist Cook-off Contestant will have a dedicated cooking/grilling area to set-up and may have a total of 2 people with them while cooking. Sponsor will provide access to shared electrical outlets and a common food prep area. Contestants are responsible for providing all ingredients and cooking materials. Contestants may begin preparation of recipes at 2:00 pm EST and must have selected entree prepared by 4:30 pm EST when judging will occur. All cooking materials, supplies and trash must be fully removed by 7pm.
Cook-off Contest Judging and Winner: A panel of independent judges will judge the Cook-off Contest entries, with judging held at approximately 5 pm, or at the conclusion of the cooking period. The food will be brought from the cooking area to a dedicated judging station, where the judges will sample the recipes and a Cook-off Contest Winner will be announced upon completion of the sampling. All decisions of these judges are final and binding with respect to this portion of the contest. Entries will be judged on taste, originality, presentation, and uniqueness of ingredients.
Weather: If for any reason the event sponsors or venue officials determine that the weather is unsuitable to either begin or complete the Cook-off, all contestants names will be placed into a random drawing and the first prize will be awarded to the contestant whose name is pulled in a blind-drawing.
Prizes: Each finalist Cook-off Contestant will receive two tickets ($180) to the Chick-fil-A Bowl on December 31, 2011 and a Big Green Egg ($600).
